About the Neighborhood

Sometimes a helping hand is necessary for leading life at your own rhythm. This program is intended to meet the needs of a resident population with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) that are not ready for a dedicated memory care unit. We created this neighborhood because we found a need to serve the resident population that could benefit from a more structured environment.

The residents in this neighborhood will require some level of need for care support services and they will also need assistance, and support, to navigate their day. The typical resident will require structure to their day, guided by care staff and a dedicated life enrichment assistant leading specialized programming for individuals who might have Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI).

Specialized Care

Melody Bridge has a Unit Manager that is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) – this is a special training/certification for individuals who oversee staff who provide care to this resident population.

The CDP certification enables the Unit Manager to identify the residents’ changes in conditions and escalate their care needs to the caregiving staff. Having a CDP gives family members peace of mind knowing there are qualified caregivers overseeing their loved ones’ care and available to support them. There is also a dedicated Life Enrichment Assistant to create and direct engagement programs for the residents of this neighborhood seven days a week.
