It's been hard to write this review. There aren't enough stars to click. In March of 2021 we moved my parents into Melody Living. 6 weeks later, my dad passed, he was in hospice, we knew it was happening. During the short 6 week period before he passed, my mom built a strong community of friends at Melody Living, she never felt alone, not even after he passed. She made friends that would sit in her room with her, at my dad's bedside until all hours of the night. That's what you get in a strong community. I can't express how grateful I was to have my mom at Melody Living. My mother passed away in May after living at Melody Living for over 5 years. During those 5 years, she didn't have a care in the world, and neither did we when it came to my mom. She stayed busy every day with all the wonderful activities and outings. She made so many close friends, her life was full and she never had to feel like a burden to her children. She always told me "no kitchen is big enough for 2 women, I will never live with you." Everyone at Melody Living is Amazing. Robin, the Life Enrichment Director made my Mom feel so special, as she does every resident. She really felt like part of our family, and still does. Kevin the Chef is amazing, in my mom's final weeks he tried anything to get her to eat, I'll always remember that. Basically, when you live at Melody Living, you are family. I highly recommend Melody Living Lake in the Hills.

Our family would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff at Melody Senior Living Memory Care for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to my mother. From the moment she became a resident, every member of the team treated her with kindness, dignity, patience, and respect. Knowing that my mother was in a safe, loving, and caring environment gave our family tremendous peace of mind during a very difficult time. The staff consistently went above and beyond to ensure her comfort and well-being. They were attentive to her needs, treated her as if she were part of their own family, and always showed genuine compassion. Their professionalism, dedication, and heartfelt care never went unnoticed. After our experiences elsewhere, the level of care we received at Melody Senior Living memory care was truly outstanding. The difference was remarkable, and we will always be grateful for the love and support they showed my mother and our family. In my opinion, Melody Senior Living Memory Care deserves a five-star rating in every way. I was responsible for finding an assisted living facility for a friend of mine. I looked at many and chose Melody Living. The sales staff were great and the facility met all his needs. I did not regret my choice. The facility is beautiful, the nursing staff were great and the support staff were helpful in dealing with any changes that were needed.

My parents had been in a high quality senior care facility in Chicago, but after my father's death we wanted my mother to be closer to us. She suffered from a progressive dementia and needed care on virtually every level. We heard about Melody Living and decided to investigate. Our biggest concern was that we wanted her care to be as good as her former residence. Upon visiting the facility we found it to be a beautiful and functional design while emphasizing comfort and safety for the residents. After interviewing management and observing activities and daily life there, we decided to give it a try. On the very first day, we started to feel that we had made a good decision. That feeling grew stronger with each day thereafter. We realized that Melody Living was not simply as good as her former residence, it was measurably better. I visited my mother virtually every day and saw how the staff and management worked with her in the most caring fashion. She was not an easy case, as she had some behavioral difficulties related to her dementia. But rather than pushing the problems off on the family or ignoring the problems, management at Melody Living sought innovative approaches to solving or avoiding the problems and were ultimately successful. The result was a marked improvement in my mother's quality of life during her last months. During my daily visits in the 8 months of my mother's residence there was not a single incident which caused me concern and there were countless which which put me at ease regarding her care. I simply can not give high enough praise to this place. It is well managed from the top all the way down.

My mother moved into Melody shortly after the facility opened in 2020. From the day she moved in, she was treated with care, respect and compassion by all of the wonderful staff. She felt very safe in her apartment, most of the time leaving the door open and occasionally receiving a visitor, who just stopped by to say "Hi!" The facility is expertly decorated, has many gathering spaces and is also clean and quiet. Melody is definitely a place that your loved one could move in and feel immediately "at home."

Finding ourselves in a desperate situation looking for assisted living for a loved one, Melody Living came through; five stars and more!!! I was in panic mode visiting places, until I arrived at Melody. Kelly was so reassuring, I left my meeting confident I was in the right place. Vi and Marianne carried on that friendly and caring attitude. Thanks to the whole team for a job so well done.

We recently has the opportunity to tour Melody Living with my 93 year old mother and we were very impressed. Mom is sharp as a tack mentally and has been living independently. She is a former Registered Nurse who has good knowledge of medical, and my wife is currently a Registered Nurse as well. Mom was concerned that an assisted living environment would have many people in wheel chairs who just slept all day and didn't stay active. As it turns out, Kelly, who is an excellent sales director for this facility, really helped to change Mom's mind about assisted living as we asked questions and toured the building. Mom saw current residents who were happy and enjoying life and we could see that the staff we met really cared for their residents. Kelly answered all of our questions with honesty and candidness and spent extra time with Mom reviewing the various apartments that were available which all looked very nice and well laid out. We also had a chance to enjoy lunch and the food was very good. The Director of foodservice came out and spoke with us and we could see that he really enjoyed his job and took pride in providing quality food that was very tasty. We also met with the Director of Wellness who has a passion for helping the residents to live lives that are happy and fulfilled. Mom felt very good about Melody Living, but she is not quite ready to leave her independent lifestyle, but when she is, we will definitely look at Melody Living again. Our opinion is that if you are looking for a home for a loved one who needs a little extra help and a place that will take very good care of them, you probably should check out Melody living on your short list of options.

Recently we took a tour of Melody Living in Lake in the Hills for a place for my mom. We met with the Director of Sales, Kelly, and also Katherine. Their compassion, enthusiasm and information about Melody Living made us feel comfortable and at ease while trying to make a huge decision in a life changing environment for my mom. Melody Living is a beautiful community with lots to offer to the residents. Their Memory Care unit is about giving each and every resident the best care while keeping them socially and mentally active and out of their rooms. This was very important to me, especially through the Covid pandemic. Everyone is very engaging, caring, friendly and passionate about their jobs from the front desk and staff to the management. They are just a phone call away. No phone call goes unanswered which is extremely important during Covid. Their visitation room was great and very helpful. To be able to see my mom through a glass window and speak with her was so important, I knew she was doing fine and adjusting to her new home. We were able to celebrate mom’s 90th birthday together which was extremely important to us. I can’t say enough about Melody Living; they made a stressful time such a smooth transition for our family! I know in my heart that we have found a community that is perfect for mom. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Kelly, Katherine and the staff.

My Mom moved in this Saturday and there are not enough words to say how wonderful everything about Melody Living is. The Executive Director, Maria, has put together a team second to none. Extremely professional and experienced, kind and compassionate, plus full of energy and ideas to care for the residents. These people know what they are doing and how to care for the seniors. We know Mom is safe and that's so important! Also have to say the food is excellent; the the buildings and rooms are beautiful. If you have a senior that needs Assisted Living or Memory care, do not hesitate to check out Melody Living - you won't be sorry and am sure you will immediately sign them up.

Beautiful community!

I stopped in with my mother to see what this community had to offer. When you first drive up, there's a trailer that doesn't seem like much from the outside, but is furnished nicely inside. We sat with Maria, who showed us different options for my mom and helped give us an idea of what the community will become once it opens. I think we've found the right fit for my mother once she's ready for that next step.
